Winnipeg Strike Votes

Votes are being held in Winnipeg on the following days. You may attend whichever vote meeting that is most convenient for you.  It is very important you come out to vote! A high turnout is important because it shows that a wide cross-section of the membership is engaged and mobilized about the bargaining process.  A STRONG “YES” VOTE IS ALSO IMPORTANT BECAUSE THE UNION IS STRONGEST WHEN IT IS UNITED. Canada Post will be much more fearful of a Labour disruption, and more likely to negotiate seriously with a strong ‘YES” vote.

DOES A “YES” VOTE MEAN THAT WE ARE GOING ON STRIKE?

A strong strike mandate vote does not necessarily mean we will strike, but it does indicate that we are ready to do so if necessary.

Vote “YES” to give our Negotiation Team the ability to negotiate for the gains we deserve and to protect the work we do.
