The CUPW Local is organizing a 2-day Basic Shop Steward Course for members interested in learning how to represent and support their fellow workers. Every member is encouraged to apply, including temp workers.
Deadline to apply: April 28th, 2026
This course will cover:
- Roles and responsibilities of a shop steward, including grievance handling
- Handling workplace issues and grievances
- Understanding union rights and procedures
- Communication and leadership skills
