CUPW joins striking workers on the picket line in front of the Metis CFS building in Winnipeg. The nearly 350 workers at the Métis CFCS and Michif CFS agencies – including Social Services Workers, Family Support Workers, Youth Care Workers, and Administrative Staff – are on strike because their employer’s wage offer is lower than the pay currently earned by others doing the same work elsewhere in Manitoba. These workers have been without a contract since 2023 and are asking for a pay increase to put them on par with the wages workers at other agencies are receiving.
